dc.description.abstract Water is an important part of human life. Without water no one can survive on the earth. It is the medium of life. About 97% of total water are in saline form in oceans and remaining 3% in fresh form. On land more then 74.9% of fresh water is in the form of ice at the two poles [north and south] and about 30% is in the form of underground water. About 0.115% of fresh water is in the form of atmospheric moisture, river, streams, lakes, pools, artificial, reservoirs etc. In which 0.035% in standing form as ponds, lakes and reservoirs. en_US
