dc.description.abstract This paper presents a broad overview of systems techniques that may he used in the study of inter-basin water transfer. A simulation-optimization model, a dynamic programming model and a reservoir analysis model used for decision making in inter-basin water transfer are discussed in brief. Recent developments in the fuzzy system theory that may he used in conflict resolution in large scale water transfer are discussed. Limitations of the techniques in addressing uncertainties and complex interactions among the components are discussed cord &reclaims for Aqua' work are identified. en_US
