dc.description.abstract Flood frequency analysis is used to estimate the frequencies of future floods. The introduction of microcomputers and personal computers have almost revolutionised the development and management of water resources and particularly, the methodologies for data analysis and simulation. This paper briefly describes various aspects of flood frequency analysis and the documentation included in ,the user's manual published by National institute of Hydrology. The source programme for flood frequency analysis using power transformation approach extracted from the user's manual is appended as a typical example. en_US
