dc.description.abstract Analysis and forecasting of floods emerging from catchments generally between 100 and 1000 sq. kms or due to meteorologic phenomena at the coasts is of primary importance. Accurate and timely computation of forecasts need the help of computers. On going and recent advancements available on hardware and software has made Personal Computers ( PCs) more popular and useful to meet the requirements. This paper discusses the developments available on PCs to deal with various issues associated with analysis and forecasting of floods. en_US
