dc.description.abstract Management of natural resources is inherently complex. People in developing countries live in close proximity to nature and hence changes in environment and climate have a significant influence on their lives. Society is facing grave multiple water-related problems: decreasing per capita accessible water, change in climate, and deterioration of environment and ecosystems. Despite these problems, adequate attention to the eco-friendly management of environment and water resources is still not widely given. To save mankind from serious damage, we need to synergize appropriate technology and spirituality for the management of these resources. Certain religious precepts and traditional wisdom serve as links between society and environment; science and engineering constitute the foundation of these vital links. Indeed these should constitute the fabric of all sections of the society and all nations in order to ensure our common and safe future. en_US
