dc.description.abstract A review of multiple approaches to the problem of soil hydraulic parameter estimation at different spatial scales is presented. Methods reviewed include traditional bottom-up approaches, as well as newer top-down approaches such as use of genetic algorithms, Monte Carlo simulations, and data assimilation; and multiscale methods such as artificial neural networks. en_US
