Abstract

Water and land resources are available in plenty in India. But due to increasing population pressure and undue exploitation of natural resources, per person availability of land and water has decreased. In order to maintain continuous availability and long term sustainability of water resources, it is important to know water conservation techniques. In this paper, ten water conservation techniques (those are well tested and implemented at experimental farm, socially acceptable, economically viable, technically feasible, environmentally harmless, psychologically impressive, easily implementable, simple, sound and sustainable) have been selected and presented in poetic manner in Hindi.
