Abstract: An inter-disciplinary approach is needed to harmonize the water resources development with socio-economic needs and environmental aspects. New principles of teaching hydrology are necessary to be applied with regard to the multipurpose utilisation of water. This paper is an analysis of the methods of teaching hydrology as a subject in curriculum of schools and technical institutions such as polytechnics. The intention is to set forth and take stock of contents of various subjects dealing with hyrology and water resources being taught in the schools and other lower level technical institutions.
