dc.description.abstractGround Water is an important source of irrigation especially in the arid and semi-arid regions. Groundwater quality problems though often complex, generally occur in the four general categories; Salinity, permeabiliiy, toxicity and miscellaneous. In this paper an attempt has been made to review the quality of grouud water in the arid and semi arid regions for irrigation purposes and its effect on soil properties that reduces the crop growth & productivity.en_US
