Rainfall network design for hydrological purposes has been the subject of study and investigations for a long period of time. In this paper different methods applicable to raingauge network design have been discussed and demonstrated by suitable examples for the use of each suggested method. It is hoped that this article on rainfall network design will prove to be useful to all those who are in the process of establishing a minimum raingauge network or improving the design and management of existing networks in different river catchments of this country.en_US
