Abstract: The advancement of RS technology since last few decades had opened various avenues for better and rapid management of natural resources (Cracknell 2018). Technological inventions had made data of satellite products from very course spatial resolution ranging from few kilometers to very high resolution data of submeter resolution. Due to these advancements the applications of these data had been increased (Cohen and Goward 2004; Patino and Duque 2013; Tang and Shao 2015). In combination with Geographic Information System (GIS), geospatial data became very easy to handle, process and to be worked upon (Jianping 1997; Xuejun 1997; Münch and Conrad 2007). The remotely sensed data is generally of four types like optical, microwave, thermal, and hyperspectral. The effective usage of spatiotemporal, radiometric and spectral resolution of all data proved it to be best tool for rapid management of the natural resources on a large scale (Khadri et al. 2013; Kumar et al. 2015; Patode et al. 2017).
