Abstract: | The maximum product spacing (MPS) method of parameter estimation has been recently proposed as a method with superior characteristics. The MPS method is tested in this study by using synthetic and observed low flow data. The results from the MPS method are compared to those from the maximum likelihood (ML) method. The results from the MPS method are comparable to those from the ML method. |
