dc.description.abstract | A study has been undertaken by the National Institute of Hydrology, Roorkee to monitor groundwater level fluctuations in Bist-Doab, Punjab in order to prioritize the monitoring sites. The purpose of the study was to identify the selected few monitoring sites which can provide the representative water level of the study area and this also helps in managing and monitoring groundwater network. For this purpose, cross-correlation analysis was carried out to find out the homogeneity among different stations and on this basis we can prioritize these monitoring stations. These observations are also found useful in establishing the connectivity or any relationship among the aquifers of a particular region. | en_US |
