Abstract: National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) a premier Research and Development&#xD;
organization under the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga&#xD;
Rejuvenation has been engaged in research activities in all aspects of hydrology. NIH is&#xD;
observing the 40th Anniversary of its Foundation Day on 16th December 2018. Over the last 40&#xD;
years, the Institute has made many scientific contributions in the field of water sector. Hence, it&#xD;
has been decided to bring out a document on this auspicious occasion that contains abstracts of&#xD;
40 selected studies completed by the Institute and abstracts of 40 selected research papers&#xD;
published by NIH scientists in reputed international journals. This document also contains a list&#xD;
of technical books authored by NIH scientists and a list of technical papers published in&#xD;
international and national journals in recent times.</description>
