Abstract: भूमिगत जल में आर्सेनिक संदूषण (Arseic Contamination) भारत के पेय-जल परिदृश्य में सबसे गंभीर मुद्दों में से एक है। हाल ही में प्रकाशित कुछ शोधपत्रों में बताया गया है कि भूमिगत जल के माध्यम से आर्सेनिक संदूषण खाद्य शृंखला में प्रवेश कर गया है। भारतीय जल-विज्ञान संस्थान ने केन्द्रीय गंगा बेसिन क्षेत्रों के जलभृतों में भू-रसायनिक परीक्षण कर आर्सेनिक के उद्गम पर शोध कार्य किए हैं जिससे इस विकराल होती समस्या के समाधान हेतु संभावित उपाय सुझाए जा सके।</summary>
