Abstract: Accurate  delineation  of  a  watershed  plays  an  extremely  important  role  in  the  management  of  the watershed.  The  delineated  boundaries  form  the  nucleus  around  which  the  management  efforts  such as  land  use,  land  change,  soil  types,  geology  and  river  flows  are  analyzed  and  appropriate conclusions  drawn.  Current  remote  sensing  and  graphic  information  system  technologies  provide ways  for  rapid  collection  of  field  data  and  prompt  data  processing. &#xD;
&#xD;
Now-a-days  the  field  of  Remote  Sensing  and  GIS  has  become  exciting  and  glamorous  with  rapidly expanding  opportunities.  Many  organizations  spend  large  amounts  of  money  on  these  fields.  Here the  question  arises  why  these  fields  are  so  important  in  recent  years. &#xD;
&#xD;
&#xD;
Two  main  reasons  are  there  behind  this. &#xD;
1)  Now-a-days  scientists,  researchers,  students,  and  even  common  people  are  showing  great interest  for  better  understanding  of  our  environment.  By  environment  we  mean  the  geographic space  of  their  study  area  and  the  events  that  take  place  there.  In  other  words,  we  have  come  to realize  that  geographic  space  along  with  the  data  describing  it,  is  part  of  our  everyday  world; almost  every  decision  we  take  is  influenced  or  dictated  by  some  fact  of  geography. &#xD;
2)  Advancement  in  sophisticated  space  technology  (which  can  provide  large  volume  of  spatial data),  along  with  declining  costs  of  computer  hardware  and  software  (which  can  handle  these  data) has  made  Remote  Sensing  and  G.I.S.  affordable  to  not  only  complex  environmental  /  spatial situation  but  also  affordable  to  an  increasingly  wider  audience.</summary>

Abstract: Water  is  essential  for  life  and  is  always  the  talk  of  the  town  either  due  to  too  much  of  it  or  too little  of  it.  Groundwater  is  a  regenerated  phenomenon.  It  is  simply  the  existed  water  in  vents and  scratches  in  rocks  beneath  the  earth  surface.  As  groundwater  is  being  positioned  below  the surface  of  earth  at  its  saturation  level  and  that  is  acknowledged  as  aquifers,  within  which  water quench  the  crevices  and  openings  of  rocks  and  residues.  Groundwater  is  the  highly  treasurable asset  of  any  nation.  It  helps  sustaining  life  and  promote  developmental  activities.  In  India, groundwater  fulfils  almost  85%  of  rural  domestic  needs  and  50%  of  urban  needs  in  today's world  the  rate  of  contamination  has  exceeded  its  limits  and  the  after  affect  has  seen  in  the  form of  surface  water  contamination.  As  groundwater  and  surface  water  are  interdependent  on  each other  for  example-  contaminated  aquifers  that  discharges  continuous  groundwater  to  streams can  result  in  long-term  contamination  of  surface  water;  conversely,  streams  can  be  a  major source  of  contamination  of  aquifers. &#xD;
The  area  of  concern  is  Andhra  Pradesh  which  is  separated  from  Telangana  in  the  year  2014, because  of  separation  the  coastline  importance  has  increased.  It  has  a  coastline  of  about  974 km.  The  purpose  of  this  study  to  examine  the  salt  water  intrusion  presence  in  the  coastal districts  and  if  presence  is  their  then  in  which  amount  salinity  is  there,  these  presence  are examined  by  isotopic  and  ionic  analysis.</summary>

Abstract: Sea  water  intrusion  is  one  of  the  important  threats  to  water  availability  in  the coastal  zones.  A  study  has  already  been  done  on  the  coast  of  Bengal,  Orissa,  and  Andhra Pradesh. &#xD;
Surveys  were  conducted  along  the  coast  of  Karnataka  which  included  the 	3 districts  of  Dakshina   kannada,  Udupi  and  parts  of  Uttara  kannada,  According  to  the complaint  received  it  could  be  inferred  that  sea  water  intrusion  is  indeed  a  problem  in Karnataka  coast.  The  study  is  of  vital  importance  as  the  population  density  along  the coast  is  very  high. &#xD;
Isotopes  techniques  are  of  at  most  importance  in  Karnataka  as  the  water  exists  in the  fractures  of  rocks (hard  rock  region).  Isotopes  study  was  extended  to  the  coastal region  as  it  was  felt  that  this  methodology  would  be  able  to  identify  the  sea  water  as source  of  pollution  and  nothing  else.</summary>
